CHRISTIAN MISSION AND OUTREACH

Coordinated by the Christian Mission and Outreach Committee, Hope Church supports local, national and international programs, including:

Denver Urban Ministries
This organization assists low-income and homeless families by offering counseling, a job placement center and food and clothing banks. Hope contributes financial support and church members donate food and clothing.

Denver Inner City Parish
Hope contributes financial resources which provide support for inner city families.

Transitional Families
We work with the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless by donating household furniture and other items to help families who have been homeless or are at risk of becoming homeless.

Thanksgiving, Easter, and Christmas Baskets
Hope provides holiday dinners to transitional families three times a year, and at Christmas, members of Hope adopt low-income families to provide them with food and gifts.

Grant Avenue Street Reach
Through GASR we provide financial support and volunteers who help prepare and serve food to feed the homeless every Monday night at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in downtown Denver.

Prison Ministry
Hope provides backpacks filled with toiletries and other essentials to newly released prisoners to give them a better chance to integrate successfully into society.

Meals on Wheels
Hope provides financial support to bring meals to the elderly and shut-ins.

United Methodist Global Missions
Hope provides financial support for the worldwide programs of the United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Committee on Relief.

Face the Challenge
Hope provides financial assistance to send volunteer doctors and nurses from the U.S. to Third World countries, where they perform surgery on children with facial deformities.

United Methodist Rural Fellowship
Hope contributes financial support to provide PET (Personal Energy Transportation) equipment to help handicapped persons become mobile, especially those who have lost the use of their legs due to polio and land mines.

Africa Partnership
Hope supports Kenya Methodist Universityand the "Intergraded Community Development Association-Kenya" located in Meru, Kenya.

Project Cure
Hope provides volunteer labor and financial support to help collect surplus medical equipment and supplies and distribute them to hospitals and clinics in developing countries.
